Student Designed WebQuest Rubric

This Project will be graded as each step is completed is completed.

Step 1 – Looking at WebQuest:

Students will be able to:

· Identify at least 5 parts of a WebQuest

· Describe their purpose

· List their likes and dislikes for different WebQuests

Step 2 – Deciding on your subject area and topic and Creating Resources Page:

Students will be able:

· Identify a subject area and topic for their WebQuest

· Find 10 interesting facts for the web and write an Internet Bibliography.

· Compose 10 questions using these facts

· Create Resource Page and Folder

Subject area and Topic is identified and appropriate.
Has10 interesting facts with a Bibliography for each fact.
Bibliography entries include Page name, URL, date and time.
Ten Grammatically correct questions that can be converted to multiple-choice questions later.

Step 3 - Creating Task Page and Folder:

Student will be able to:

Step 4 - Writing the Test or Evaluation Page:

Students will be able to:

Ten grammatically correct questions and 4 multiple choice answers – one correct and 3 incorrect answers.

Step 5 – Creating Pages for Correct and Incorrect answered:

Students will be able to:

Correct and Incorrect answers of multiple choice questions are linked to the correct answers

Step 6 – Creating the Introduction Page and Folder:

Step 8 – Creating “index” Page and Folder and finishing touches:

Create Main folder with teacher assigned number
Move all folders into this main folder
Create index page:
Title a WebQuest Name - "Pet Peeve"
Subject area and topic and why the quest was created.
Page title in title bar
Save in correct format - in the main folder and file called "index"
Links to Introduction, Task, Resource, Evaluation, and Conclusion Page
Include Next and Home on each Page of the webquest.
